GTA IV PS3 vs. XBox 360

I am about to watch a HD video between the XBOX 360 version of the game versus the PS3 version. Although this is a small piece of the game, it says quiet a bit about the real concerns GTA IV was having making the game accessible on the PS3. According to them, they were having issues putting it on the PS3. One concern was that it was difficult to code that much and still fill the disk. Another points to the development SDK which isnt better than the Xbox 360 one.

So, as I was completely against the horrible information that IGN provided for GTA including the video review provided by them, they have followed up with more action shots of the video game. I am in the process of downloading it right now but it looks to be a good one. Check them out and the other websites for more information on GTA IV and, you know, I will be in line just like others on the midnight launch…Ya Heard!

Wii Profits up!

It looks like the Wii’s profits are up to around 120 percent and they indicate that they will ship a total of 177 million units during 2009. It looks as though they may be running a strong long fight but there is indication on the PS3 front that they may be overtaking the Xbox 360 sales especially if rumored Xbox 360 rumors are true referring to a new xbox coming out in late 2009.

Xbox Issues Online

It looks like Xbox live has been running into issues concerning their online servers. Many people have indicated that its not too bad but because its a paid service, it should be better than that. I mean common! Well, one site stated that its a rare coinsurance and hopefully in the future, this will be prevented with better acquaintance. I just hope Major Nelson drinks a tall glass of shut the hell up now when he is on the grill.

Gaming History

So I was talking to a friend of mine and he was telling me about how he went from purchasing a xbox 360 to a PS3. He said something interesting that isn’t something that I would think about (probably because the ownership of multiple systems) but he said that he didn’t have many games he liked to play on the 360. I looked back when the PS3 came out and I think he doesn’t like shoot em ups. There were a barrage of them back in the day. Sure, its changed now but it was not the case then!

Rainbow Six Vegas 2

is going to be a sick game. I think I went over all the time I put into the first one. They are dropping it for both the xbox 360 and the PS3 and let me tell you, I cant wait for it to come out. I saw the new screens of it and it looks absolutely stunning. It looks like they did listen to the consumer this time and add a sprint button to it which is awesome. I cant wait for it to drop and if its as good or better than the first, I will be in line the first day.

A Great Game

I just have to say how unbelievably awesome Assassins Creed is. I was just in Texas as some of you know due to a bad family circumstance and while I was there, my cousins and I talked about Assassins Creed. They raved and ranted about it as much as I did. I thought that the overall game play was great. I know that many of you have already played it but if you have not, get it. It is great for either PS3 or xbox 360 system. I do prefer the PS3 version because of the controls but they both play great.

Gamepro Debuts PS3 vs. Xbox 360

Gamepro recently did an article stating the PS3 vs. Xbox 360 and the changes between the two. They had concluded that the PS3 outdid the Xbox 360 on every multi platform game (high profile). What amazes me is that recently I have done my own fact finding missions and particular game developers are the culprit rather than certain games. I would suspect that any game built on one platform will inevitably do better on it than the other but Gamepro states that even if a few of these games were built on one then ported, they still did better on the PS3. It is an interesting read and certainly conforms with the tide that is going the PS3 route.

Last Four Weeks Of Sales

I thought it was a fluke. Did the PS3 really beat out the xbox 360 in sales…particularly in the United States? In fact, it most certainly did. It has been selling roughly 2x the xbox 360 and I am unsure if it has anything to do with the HD DVD loss that the xbox took. Surprisingly, last week the slashing of prices of the HD DVD player has really sought a huge jump in HD DVD add ons but a loss in sales. I am unsure of hte trend but the PS3 is picking up some speed and taking a stern 2nd place week after week in sales.

Console Sales

Sorry guys about the late post. I have been in super duper busyness and it has ended up with me not being active as much I had wanted to be. The sales of the consoles were a bit surprising to say the least. I looked over the console war consort and I found that, as usual, the Wii has sold 274K consoles. Here is some even more shocking news. The second place console was the PS3 by 252K consoles. That means the xbox 360 sold 229k consoles. This is great news for the ps3 since it was having a difficult time selling consoles in the US. lets see how this pans out overall.
