Console games sold 6.6 billion

Handheld games sold 2.0 billion

PC sold .9 Billion

Here is something interesting. You always hear that PC gaming is better than console gaming. I think if that were the case than the sales would prove it, no?

I wanted to thank all of my readers for increasing my blogs potential and helping me know that I am loved! I LOVE YOU TOO! So, in an effort to expand our ever expanding entertainment market (of course gaming), I would like to extend a warm wish for everyone in the new year and say to all of you…keep playing! This upcoming year is huge for gaming and I will have to say that many of our old gen fans will be looking to move over to the next gen category. Also, there are an insane load of games that will drop this year.

Specifically, he is now a certified Gamelofter. He is currently signed up with Gameloft to be a spokesperson. He is also debugging with the game without a NBA license (i am not sure how that really works?). They are creating a game that is pretty much a copy of EA’s street series. They are able to complete and add on systems to build up dunks. Sounds like the street series on crack and more fun in my opinion. It is directly arcade related so it would must be on the fast side. Lets see how it works out. We should see how this works out and hopefully, Kobe will take a page from this actually get into the finals and perhaps win one without Shaq. I am just a frustrated individual who loves basketball and I dislike when people compare him to Jordan. Sorry, I digress.

Halo DS and PS2

I am unsure if many of you heard about it but it was in production at one point. Here is the story to prove it. Lets be honest, when we first heard about Halo DS, I know there were a few Halo fans (including myself) who were super excited about getting the game on a hand held. I think it would have been one pretty sweet game on a DS. Most importantly, they could even have wireless frag fests while you are on one of the bullet trains in Japan! How awesome would that be? Unfortunately, the story was cut when Microsoft didn’t want to license the game over. I think that might partly be the reason why Bungie and Microsoft went splits ville (more story). In any case, my biggest concern is that they were overwhelmingly adamant that they could NOT make Halo on the PS2 (I think a few of us recall). So they were able to make a prototype on the DS which is less powerful than the PSP (proof) and surely less powerful than the PS2. Ooh, did I forget to mention that there WAS a PS2 version of Halo (more proof). But I digress and I hope Bungie gets setup and builds their version of Halo on DS. I think we can all agree this would be fantastic for any gamer.

According to other sources, Namco Bandai stated that they will have External Sonata for the PS3. The PS3 version of Eternal Sonata, which will be dubbed Trusty Bell Chopan no Yume, will be at the booth next week. It will be re/dubbed into a Japanese version in late 2008/early 2009. The Tokyo Game Show will also feature Time Crisis 4 and Soul Calibur 4 (which can already be seen on the PSN network). Sources have also stated that Yakuza:Kenzan! is going to be a PS3 exclusive. The looks to be sweet! As it has a Ninja Gaiden esque feel and you will be able to implement new fighting styles to take down your 1605 Japanese bad guys. According to the source, Japan is only country getting the game. However, if you are a PS3 nut, you do know that all games can be played on any system so if that is the case, you can always get it shipped!
