Tony Hawk Proving Ground Review
I finally got a chance to play the Tony Hawk game that many people have been talking about. I have to admit I was ecstatic because I loved Skate and I thought this would rival it (as it has been one of the best skating games for the last 10 years). However, I have to admit that the game didn’t do much different to excite me. It was the same great game which kind of made it not so great if that makes sense. It was fun running around and jumping. It was fun slowing down the game to make specific kick flips but it still felt the same. The story is neat because you can go completely different ways and do different ways through the story which is nice. The city is made well and is easy to get through and find complex jumps. Sky is definitely not the limit with this new city. I like the new rap influence in the game but nothing that was too developed. It is longer than previous games and it does have a few ways to go about it to extend the game (including online) but overall I would recommend Skate more than the new THPG.
