Hardware Sales
It looks like the September list has been rolled through and it looks like the 360 did make an impact in sales (primarily due to the launch of Halo 3). Here are some interesting numbers that I found from the source:
The year to date console sales were very telling. The Wii sold 3.439 Million in 2007 to date, the 360 sold 2.222 million in 2007 to date, and the PS3 sold 1.172 million in 2007 year to date. From the dates, here are some interesting figures. In January of this year, the PS3 was only down 50,000 consoles from the 360. And, even more distressing, in July 2007 the 360 sold 170000 and the PS3 sold 159000. That is nearly a 10,000 console difference. beeeeeeeeeeeewy interesting. We will see how the latter figures pan out once the numbers after the price drop compare.
