Nintendo originally stated that there will be well over 200 virtual console games by the time the Wii had hit years end.  It looks like that will not be the case because Nintendo has stated they will not increase the amount of games that will drop by each week which is currently 3.  They will reach around 180 some odd games by the years end which is close to what they wanted…but no cigar.  That is, however, a great deal of games and eventually they will be well on their way to having backwards compatibility though the virtual console.  It sounds like a good idea but they sorely need to reduce the game prices in my opinion.
