Halo 3..Personal Opinion
Okay, I am hearing how great Halo 3 is. I think my beef is not how good online factor is (because I think it is pretty fun). What I do have a problem with is IGN. IGN rated the game a 9.5. To be fair, I had to go play the game myself. I played and completed the game in under 10 hours on the hardest level. I have to say that the game just doesn’t do it for me. The game is realitivly the same as previous versions. Okay, so you can rip turrets off of their base and shoot. Sure, you can play with others in the game. Its definitely aesthically pleasing. My concern is the lack of AI!. Are we in the last generation realm where we cant get good AI? How does a game with poor AI get such a good score? I also HATED when I played as the alien (i hate him so much i will not use his real name) like Halo 2 (by the by, I turned off the game as soon as you turned into that guy in Halo 2). It was much of the same stuff and I found it SO hard to continue to play. Also, the level design wasn’t much to be excited about. It really was the same old feel as the previous Halos. Someone told me that’s not necessarily a bad thing and I told them to sit on it. Legendary level is about as good as the one under it in the previous Halo. It wasn’t hard at all. I have to say the replay was pretty fun to work with and seeing the particles is awesome. I personally think they would have been better off with a online only game. It did take it back a bit when they clearly didn’t put too much into the campaign mode. I mean come on. I think this was a bias push by IGN (and even others) and I would have to say that the hype didn’t match the game. I would rate it a 8.8 as a whole game.
