PS3 Power
According to a few sources (and anyone who had the PlayStation and its larger brother PS2) know that the PS3 is clearly untapped power. In fact, every site (both technical and gaming) state that the PS3 is much more powerful than the other gaming machines yet it will not produce fluid results as the other machine. According to Kaz Hirai, the PS3 will not reach its strong point until 4,5, even 6 years in its life cycle. Some people may feel that’s bogus but if you look back to both the original PS and the PS2, that is exactly what happened. They definitely meet and exceed their potential in he gaming community for both games and video quality. I do believe that is the case because many developers are currently not putting their all into the machine. With EA bringing out games for the 360 that are twice as many frames as the PS3 port, people will start to wonder why. My conclusion is that games are built from the ground up for the xbox 360 and are ported over to the PS3 by code which will provide very little in comparison. It makes sense. Why would EA put in its effort to understand the PS3 if they can build a quick game for the xbox 360 and use its porting software developed on the PS3 by Sony to port the game. It makes complete sense especially when you see games on both systems that are not “multi platform”. The playing field is level then because you can create games for one and put work into making it.
