Private Networks
I decided that I wanted to switch one of my web pages to a virtual private network. However, I did not want to pay the virtual private network price. Most of those servers unfortunately are entirely too expensive for me to get on my poor blogger money so I decided to do some shopping. Long behold, I found something called VPS Hosting from network solutions. What an awesome idea! It takes hosting to a new level where you have the control like a private network but you don’t have to pay private network prices! They range from 10-50 gig and you can manage multiple domains on each account. The neat part about it is that they provide you with root access so you virtually have openness to do whatever you wish to put or run on your server without running into issues that normal hosting accounts have. You even get a dedicated IP address and 256 megs of ram to your virtual space. The system is run on Red Hat Linux so you know you wont run into failed or overloaded systems with meager traffic as you normally would with a Windows server (you know what I am talking about). They provide you with hosting software such as Virtuozzo which lets you manage your space and bandwidth depending on the sites on the servers.
